From 18 to 20 September 2026 the 14th International Theatre Festival “Step by Step” will take place in Rezekne, Latvia. We invite Youth & adult theatres to apply with performances of different theatre forms and genres! Performance type: Festival of all kinds of performance styles (small-form theatre shows, comedy, dance, physical, street theatre etc.), also in unusual places and original forms. Age group of actors: Youth & adult theatre Performance duration: Up to 60 minutes; if the show is presented in a small space, it might be performed twice during the festival. Attendees per group: Maximum 8 persons
We are thrilled to announce that submissions are now officially open for performance applications to the next AITA/IATA International Amateur Theatre Festival, to be held in Wellington, New Zealand, in 8–13 March 2027. Theme for 2027: Standing on the Edge (note: Companies are not required to adhere to the theme, but preference may be given to companies whose work resonates with or exemplifies the theme. ) The Organising Committee shall provide accommodation and meals for each selected company under certain conditions which you can read in festival rules.
