The Musik Theater Festival is taking place in Hallein for the fourth time, this year involving international participation. The festival is dedicated to all areas of the performing arts that explore the various combinations of drama, music, dance, and song. As part of this year’s festival, we are excited to entertain our audience – as hosts of the International Theater Days – with a wide range of performances!

The festival will take place in Wellington, New Zealand from 8–13 March 2027, bringing together amateur theatre practitioners from around the world for a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Theme for 2027: Standing on the Edge (note: Companies are not required to adhere to the theme, but preference may be given to companies whose work resonates with or exemplifies the theme. ) The Organising Committee shall provide accommodation and meals for each selected company under certain conditions which you can read in festival rules.
