Multi‑year subsidies for theatre groups via the Flemish Government

Does your group have big ambitions and aim for a national presence? The Flemish Government supports these amateur arts companies for a period of three years. The subsidy helps sustain daily operations and activities.

International projects via the Flemish Government

Both international events in Flanders and Flemish projects abroad are eligible for subsidies. Concretely, these options are available:

• Subsidies for international cultural projects in Flanders
  
• Travel allowances for participation in an international project
  
• Co‑financing for international projects

Supra‑local cultural projects via OP/TIL

The Flemish Government awards subsidies for supra‑local cultural projects four times a year through the support centre OP/TIL.

• Supra‑local cultural projects
  Are you working on a larger project, possibly spanning several years? Are you focusing on broader partnerships and potentially also on policy priorities? Then choose the supra‑local cultural projects.
• Small‑scale supra‑local cultural projects
  Are you a smaller cultural player, is your project no longer than one year, and are you requesting less than €25.000 in funding? Then choose the small‑scale supra‑local cultural projects.

Support for projects by and with older performing artists

The Fund of the King Baudouin Foundation focuses on ageing actors and actresses who face financial difficulties at the end of their careers. In addition to financial vulnerability, there may also be a lack of opportunities to continue creating. For this reason, the Fund wishes to invest in projects by and with older performing artists who still wish to contribute through their artistic work.

The Fund will cover the project costs of this work and everything related to it: from the creation process and performance to expenses related to transport and work materials.

The supported projects must also be aimed at audiences that have less easy access to cultural institutions. Preferably, there is a link with welfare organisations.
