The theatre podcast made for and by young people. Bernt and Quetzali talk with young makers, actors, choreographers and scenographers about all things theatre, guided by one pressing question: How can we reach young people through theatre.
Philosopher‑poet Bernt Sales Segarra forms one half of the podcast‑hosting duo of ACHTERKLAP. As a creative jack‑of‑all‑trades, he writes, creates and existentialises his way through life. He previously made two solo performances, curated a photo exhibition, worked as a stage technician for the FroeFroe production Don Quichotte, shares his poetic musings with the digital world almost weekly, and so much more.
As a graduate in philosophy and theatre studies, he is proud and endlessly enthusiastic to present ACHTERKLAP together with Quetzali Hermans.
Quetzali Hermans studied linguistics and literature and is now in the final stretch of his master’s degree in Theatre and Film Studies. He lives for culture, the performing arts and music, and is active in several places across the sector. He does variation work at VRT, contributes to Theater aan Zee and, together with Bernt, forms the duo behind the podcast Achterklap. He also recently organised Nightwatch for FOMU. His mission: to spark young people’s enthusiasm for culture and to show that art and culture can be genuinely accessible.
