Every purchase of products or services through OPENDOEK's digital and physical channels is subject to the general terms and conditions set out below.
OPENDOEK reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions at any time. Changes will always be published on this website. Any new purchase of services or products through OPENDOEK’s sales channels will be considered acceptance of the amended general terms and conditions.
When an association purchases a membership and/or temporary insurance from OPENDOEK, either via the online members portal mijn.opendoek or at the reception desk of OPENDOEK’s registered office, the purchase becomes final from the moment the sales invoice is issued.
When an individual purchases a membership, either via mijn.opendoek or at the reception desk of OPENDOEK’s registered office, the purchase of that membership becomes final once payment has been completed.
If a membership or temporary insurance was purchased via mijn.opendoek, a 14‑day right of withdrawal applies from the moment of purchase.
Within this period, requested memberships and temporary insurances can be withdrawn by email to info@opendoek.be or by phone at +32 3 222 40 90.
If the requested or purchased memberships and temporary insurances are not withdrawn within 14 days of the purchase or request date, they will be considered final and payment will be due.
Associations will receive an invoice for the purchase of memberships and temporary insurance. The invoice must be paid within 30 days and no later than the due date stated on the invoice. Associations may pay their invoices by bank transfer or at OPENDOEK’s reception desk, where debit card, credit card and cash payments are accepted.
Individuals who purchase a membership via the members portal mijn.opendoek must pay online by debit card, credit card or bank transfer.
Individuals who purchase a membership at OPENDOEK’s reception desk may pay by debit card, credit card or cash.
In case of late payment of the invoice, the first payment reminder is free of charge, and you have 14 days to pay the invoice.
OPENDOEK always sends payment reminders by email. The 14‑day period to settle the payment begins on the calendar day following the date the reminder was sent.
From 14 days after the first payment reminder, OPENDOEK is entitled to charge a fixed compensation of:
OPENDOEK is also entitled, after the first free payment reminder, to charge an administrative fee of €5.00 for each subsequent reminder.
Upon receipt of payment for a membership, the membership card will be published digitally only on the members portal mijn.opendoek. Each membership administrator and each individual member will be notified of this by email at the address provided to OPENDOEK.
Upon receipt of payment for a temporary insurance, the applicable dates will be published digitally on the members portal mijn.opendoek on the detail page of the relevant temporary insurance.
A ticket for an OPENDOEK event can, depending on the event, be purchased via OPENDOEK’s ticket sales page or that of its partner, at the reception desk of OPENDOEK’s registered office, and, subject to availability, at the venue box office.
Each ticket purchase is final once payment has been completed.
There is no right of withdrawal for the purchase of tickets for OPENDOEK events. In other words, every purchase is final.
On OPENDOEK’s ticket sales page, tickets can only be paid for by debit card. At the venue box office, debit and credit cards, and cash are accepted.
A change to the program of an event, as well as its interruption or cancellation due to force majeure or legal provisions that OPENDOEK could not have foreseen, does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund of the purchased tickets. Where possible, OPENDOEK will consider whether tickets can be exchanged for another performance or activity within the same event.

In the event of a festival cancellation by OPENDOEK, tickets already purchased will be fully refunded. In that case, OPENDOEK will contact ticket buyers within 5 working days to request the necessary payment details.
Upon receipt of the payment details, OPENDOEK undertakes to process the refund within 10 working days.
The purchase of a ticket for a course offered by OPENDOEK can be made via OPENDOEK’s online ticket sales page or that of its partner, and at OPENDOEK’s reception desk at its registered office.
Each ticket purchase is final once payment has been completed.
There is no right of withdrawal for the purchase of a ticket for a course offered by OPENDOEK. In other words, every purchase is final.
On OPENDOEK’s online ticket sales page, tickets can only be paid for by debit card. At the reception desk, debit and credit cards, and cash are accepted.
For tickets purchased online, the tickets will be sent by email after the payment process has been completed. For tickets purchased at the reception desk, the tickets will be handed over immediately after payment. The ticket buyer may choose between e‑tickets or paper tickets.
A change to a course programme, as well as its interruption or termination due to force majeure or legal provisions that OPENDOEK could not have foreseen, does not entitle the purchaser to a refund of the purchased tickets. Where possible, OPENDOEK will consider whether tickets can be exchanged for a course taking place within 12 months after the date of the changed, interrupted or terminated course.

In the event of a full cancellation of a course by OPENDOEK, the registration fee will be fully refunded.
In the event of a partial cancellation of a course by OPENDOEK, the registration fee will be partially refunded on a prorated basis according to the number of class hours that are cancelled.
Exception: if, at registration, the combined rate including an OPENDOEK membership was chosen, the membership fee will not be refunded.
OPENDOEK will contact participants within 5 working days to request the necessary payment details.
Upon receipt of the payment details, OPENDOEK undertakes to process the refund within 10 working days.
A coaching request from an association or an individual with a valid OPENDOEK membership must be submitted via the online “coaching request form.” If the request meets the applicable conditions for coaching (listed below), the request becomes final upon confirmation by email from OPENDOEK.
Conditions for coaching
To make use of OPENDOEK’s coaching offer, the following specific conditions must be met:
When a coaching session has been confirmed, a 14‑day right of withdrawal applies from the moment of purchase.

If the confirmed coaching is not withdrawn within 14 days of the purchase or request date, it will be deemed final and payment will be due.
After the coaching has concluded, an invoice will be issued and sent by email to the association or individual at the provided email address.
The invoice must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date. Payment can be made by bank transfer or at OPENDOEK’s reception desk, where debit cards, credit cards, and cash are accepted.

When the use of a space at OPENDOEK has been confirmed, a 14‑day right of withdrawal applies from the moment of confirmation.
Within this period, the requested use of the space can be withdrawn by email to info@opendoek.be or by telephone at +32 3 222 40 90.
If the confirmed use of the space is not withdrawn within 14 days of confirmation, it will be deemed final and payment will be due.
After the rental has concluded, an invoice will be issued and sent by email to the address provided by the customer.
The invoice must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date. Payment can be made by bank transfer or at OPENDOEK’s reception desk, where debit cards, credit cards, and cash are accepted.
Additional recommendations: indicate on the invoice whether amounts include VAT, provide a payment reference, and briefly state the consequences of late payment (e.g. reminder fees, interest).

These general terms and conditions, all agreements and all legal relationships to which these general terms and conditions apply are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes that may arise with regard to (the performance of) these general terms and conditions and all legal relationships to which they apply shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of Antwerp.
