Throughout the year, our Landjuweel selectors visited a total of 58 productions across Flanders and Brussels. From these visits, 17 productions were nominated. After careful deliberation, an independent jury selected 7 productions that together form the promising shortlist for Landjuweelfestival 2025 in Ypres.
Throughout the year, our Landjuweel selectors attended a total of 54 performances across Flanders and Brussels. From these, 15 performances were nominated. After careful deliberation, an independent jury selected 7 performances, which together form the promising shortlist for the Landjuweelfestival 2024 in Ghent.
Throughout the 2023 theater season, our Landjuweel selectors attended no fewer than 57 productions across Flanders and Brussels. From these, 17 performances were nominated. An independent jury reviewed these performances and compiled a shortlist of 7 significant theater productions. This is an exceptionally varied shortlist with a wide range of genres, from musicals to improv, to text-based theater on location.
Throughout the 2019 theater season, our Landjuweel selectors attended no fewer than 49 productions across Flanders and Brussels.
9 performances were nominated, meaning they were all deemed worthy of being showcased at the festival. From this selection, an independent jury made the final choice to offer all 9 performances at the Landjuweelfestival 2022.
The Landjuweel selectors planned to visit 71 productions across Flanders and Brussels in the 2019-2020 season. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, scheduled performances were postponed and eventually canceled. As a result, fewer selection visits could be made compared to other years. From May 21, 2019, to March 13, 2020, 44 productions were still viewed across Flanders and Brussels.
The actual festival, which was to take place in November 2020, could not occur due to the coronavirus measures that were tightened shortly before.
The following productions were visited by the selectors and received a positive report. Unfortunately, due to the COVID‑19 circumstances, they could not be remounted at the Landjuweelfestival. They therefore did not compete for the shortlist, but are of course equally significant.
Throughout the 2019 theater season, our Landjuweel selectors attended no fewer than 83 productions across Flanders and Brussels.
16 performances were nominated, meaning they were all deemed worthy of being showcased at the festival. From this selection, an independent jury made the final choice of 7 performances to offer a balanced and varied Landjuweelfestival 2019.
Throughout the 2018 theater season, our Landjuweel selectors attended no fewer than 68 productions across Flanders and Brussels.
11 performances were nominated, meaning they were all deemed worthy of being showcased at the festival. From this selection, an independent jury ultimately chose 6 pieces to offer a balanced and varied Landjuweelfestival 2018.
Throughout the past theater season, the Landjuweel selectors attended 80 productions across Flanders. 24 performances were nominated. From these, 8 were programmed onto the shortlist.
Throughout the past theater season, the Landjuweel selectors attended 73 productions (both adults and youth) across Flanders. Fifteen productions were nominated. Seven performances were chosen for the shortlist.
