Creation grant

Are you eligible?

The Creation Grant (also known as the Creation Bursary) is back. Is your group performing a text from the SABAM repertoire that has never been staged on Belgian stages? Then you are eligible for a grant of €300.

You are eligible for the €300 grant from SABAM for Culture if:

  • The piece has never been performed in Belgium by a leisure‑time theatre group. It may have been performed by a professional company.
  • The text was written within the past three years.
  • It must be a full‑evening production that has not yet premiered at the time of application. You perform it at least twice.
I am performing a play for the very first time.

Deadline: Friday 13 April 2026

OPENDOEK, SABAM, and a third external reviewer will assess all applications. You will hear from us in May 2026.
