Character Description:
Elegant, glamorous and delightfully wicked, the Baroness is determined to secure wealth and status by marrying one of her daughters to Prince Charming. Vain, dramatic and fiercely self-important, she treats Cinderella as little more than a servant while believing herself to be the epitome of sophistication. Although the villain of the story, she should be larger-than-life and thoroughly entertaining rather than frightening, delivering sharp wit, exaggerated melodrama and plenty of opportunities for comedy.
A confident performer with excellent comic timing is essential. The role includes musical numbers and ensemble choreography but prioritises character and performance over technical dance ability.
